About
Values
We Value the City
God loves the City. God’s creative and redemptive purpose includes persons and places; we must seek spiritual and social transformation as a result of proclamation.

We Value the Vulnerable
Caring about and serving the poor and disenfranchised must always be characterized by respect and value, demonstrated in partnership and collaboration.

We Value Empowerment
Ministry in the name of Christ celebrates God’s grace and free-flowing work of the Holy Spirit. We serve merely as agents through whom God sets free and empowers those he loves.

We Value Reconciliation
The nature and purpose of God is fellowship; the love and redemption of Christ are relational. Therefore, reconciliation must be personal, mutual, and honest.

We Value Risk
Obedience to Christ is not passive religion. It is inherently risky because it is itinerant, other focused, and spiritually grounded. Proclamation, renewal and reconciliation are not easy pathways. Risk is a logical value when following Christ.

We Value Collaboration
We believe that the calling and needs of our urban communities compel us to cooperation; that collaboration reflects the heartbeat of Kingdom work. While honoring differences in tradition and doctrine, we seek unity in the broad common ground.

We Value the Church
We believe that the local church is God’s primary instrument by which the redemption of society occurs. To this end, the equipping and training of pastors and their leadership becomes the logical focus of training in an urban context.
