Tacoma’s Urban Lecture Series Welcomes James Alison

The Northwest Leadership Foundation, as a member organization of Tacoma’s Urban Lecture Series, was proud to welcome Theologian James Alison Tacoma  on Monday, April 25th. James is known for exploring the work of anthropologist René Girard, its implications for the Christian life and what it might mean to seek signs of peace amidst a violent world.

Taking place at St. Leo Parish, James’ lecture served as a reminder that the Christian faith is experienced not so much some sort of otherworldly spirituality, nor in our adherence to a set of laws, but in the concrete human experience of being on the receiving end of a loving act of communication of One who is in our very midst.
